Social Work Today CE’s distant learning courses are available for continuing education credit for Marriage and Family Therapists, as set forth by the New Jersey State Board of Marriage and Family Therapy.

A marriage and family therapist applying for licensure renewal shall have completed a minimum of 40 contact hours of continuing education directly related to the profession of marriage and family therapy during the biennial renewal period. At least 20 of the 40 contact hours of continuing education shall be obtained by a licensee through face-to-face instruction (13:34-9.2).

At least 5 of the 40 contact hours must be on ethical and legal standards in the counseling.

Social Work Today CE, a service of CE Learning Systems, is approved to offer continuing education courses by the Association of State Social Work Boards (ASWB #1020) and National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC #5951) and American Psychological Association (APA). CE Learning Systems maintains responsibility for the courses.

Cycle: Renewal every 2 years
